About Me
Hey there, fellow wanderer, I’m Yemi!
Welcome to Nomadic Currents, a travel blog for the curious soul who craves meaningful adventures, slow travel, local culture, and life on the move while less able than others. Whether you’re a digital nomad, a weekend explorer, or someone dreaming of their first solo trip you’ve found your people and the right place.
My Journey
I started Nomadic Currents to document more than just destinations; I wanted to capture the essence of travel: the messy bits, the magical moments, the cultures, the food (especially the food!), and the unexpected lessons along the way.
As someone who is lactose intolerant and gluten-sensitive as well as less able than others, I know how tricky it can be to travel with dietary restrictions as well as a walking stick. I’ve made it my mission to find and share the best food spots, markets, and travel hacks for fellow food-sensitive explorers and less able travellers who require assistance.
From navigating unfamiliar cities solo to chasing sunsets across continents I’m here to help you do the same, with confidence, curiosity, and care.
What You’ll Find Here
Nomadic Currents is built on three core vibes:
Honest Travel: Real experiences, no sugar-coating. I share both the highs and the challenges of travelling while different.
Purposeful Adventures: Slow, meaningful travel with sustainability and respect at its core.
Inclusive Resources: Guides and stories for all kinds of travellers solo, eco-minded, digitally untethered, less able and food-sensitive.
Expect travel guides, destination tips, cultural deep-dives, sustainable travel hacks, food & drink insights, and stories from the road all written with heart.
As someone who is lactose intolerant and gluten-sensitive as well as less able than others, I know how tricky it can be to travel with dietary restrictions as well as a walking stick.
My Promise to You
I value transparency and integrity above all. Every word I write is my honest opinion.
I will never promote something I don’t believe in or wouldn’t use myself.
If a post includes any kind of sponsorship or gifted product/service, I’ll tell you clearly:

Blog posts will have a disclaimer at the top
Social media posts will be marked with #ad or #sponsored
Affiliate links will be clearly labelled and marked “nofollow” where required.
I don’t do fluff, just the truth in every post.
Let’s Stay Connected
Travel is a conversation and I’d love for you to be part of it.
Whether you’re looking for travel inspiration, practical tips, or just a kindred spirit who understands the beauty (and chaos) of life on the move, you’re in the right place.
Let’s go where the current takes us.
Yemi,
Founder of Nomadic Currents
